Bill Hawley
Executive Director

Effective January 2, 2003, Bill was
appointed as Executive Director of the Tompkins County Senior Citizens'
Council. In his previous position as Executive presbyter for Presbytery of Genesee Valley,
Hawley oversaw nine staff members along with 73 churches and their ministers.
As a pastor he erased his church's financial deficit, doubled its endowment
and conducted successful capital and annual campaigns. Most recently,
Bill has served as the Executive Director of the Gay Alliance of Genesee
Valley. Bill has also been an active community volunteer. He has
volunteered for such diverse organizations as the Middletown Fire
Department, Habitat for Humanity and the Interfaith Council.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of
Scranton, and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. |

Tammy Wise began as our new
RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) Director on Monday, April 7, 2008.
Tammy comes to RSVP with a background in teaching and has taught at South
Seneca Central School, Trumansburg Middle School, Odessa Montour School, and
Horseheads Central School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from
Grand Valley State University and her Masters of Science in Education from
Elmira College.

Jillian Pendleton Program

On
May 19,2008, we welcomed Jillian Pendleton to Lifelong as our
Program Director. In the spring of 2006 Jillian relocated to Ithaca from
Southern New Hampshire. Since arriving in Ithaca, she has worked at the
Franziska Rackers Center as a residence counselor with individuals who have
developmental disabilities. In New England she worked for the Massachusetts
Health and Education Services. There she also worked as a residences
counselor but for children with emotional disturbances.
Originally from the east coast, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology from the University of New Hampshire.

Sarah Jane Blake
Retirement Services Coordinator

Sarah Jane Blake joined
the staff in February 2005, when she implemented two new programs,
"Plan It!" and "Check It!". In 2006, she added the
many duties of Retirement Services Coordinator. As such, she has been busily
planning and implementing activities and events to inform seniors about
programs of interest to them, such as the Health Insurance Information
Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP). Holding clinics for the Medicare Part D
Prescription Coverage Program has been just one of her many projects as well.
Sarah Jane earned her Bachelor of Arts
degree, magna cum laude, at the University of Maine and her Juris Doctorate
at the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire. Prior to
moving to Ithaca, Sarah Jane worked as a Legal Research Coordinator and a
Guardian ad litem in New Hampshire. In Ithaca, she worked with both
the Lama Law Firm and the Law Office of James M. Kerrigan.

Sue Capista
Executive Assistant/Bookkeeper

Susan Capista began work
as our Bookkeeper in October, 2004, and as Executive Assistant in February,
2006. Susan has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Management from Ithaca College. Susan worked at Ithaca College
for 22 years beginning as a Computer Records Clerk and ending as the Assistant
Director of Information Systems. Susan has also worked as a bookkeeper for Now You're Cooking in Ithaca
and Bakers' Acres, Inc., in Lansing. |

Gilda Yaley
Office Assistant, RSVP

An Ithaca native, Gilda returned to her hometown after
being away for 25 years. She has worked to send senior volunteers out into
the community for the RSVP program for 4 ½ years as the office assistant.
