Medicare Basics – what you need to know

A talk designed for those approaching 65 and/or new to Medicare and for those who have been on it for a while but still find it confusing.  
Topics included will be:  Medicare Parts A, B, & D and New York State EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage), Medigap plans, Medicare Savings Plans, Extra Help.  Also addressed will be how Medicare works with other health insurance.

Sarah Jane Blake is the Tompkins County Outreach Coordinator for New York Statewide Senior Action Council.  She has been a counselor and advocate for seniors, senior programs, and policies affecting seniors for over 10 years.   Previously she was Lifelong’s HIICAP Coordinator for Tompkins County.
She is well-versed in all aspects of Medicare!

We appreciate you letting us know ahead of time (call 273-1511) if you are planning to come so that we can have adequate numbers of handouts, but walk-ins are welcome.
