The Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature permits selected regional regranting agencies to make decisions on applications for grants of up to $5,000 for community art services.

Lifelong has again been granted money from this fund, administered through the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County, Inc., to help support the Lifelong Senior Troupe. This group of talented and creative performing artists improvises, writes, rehearses, and performs works based upon their lives – experiences, moments, memories, and lessons learned. Directed by Sue Perlgut, the Troupe meets once a week at Lifelong and performs several times during the year at a variety of venues.

And they are always looking for new members!
