April 23 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 2:00pm on Tuesday, repeating until April 30, 2019
AT LIFELONG (3 sessions, $30)
Description: What the Constitution says and how the Supreme Court interprets it have
become hotly contested issues. By examining the context in which the Constitution was
written, the actual text, and the processes used by the Supreme Court to interpret its
meaning, this course will try to dispel some myths. The final session will look at some of
the Court’s most important cases as well as some of the current controversies.
Instructor: Tom Butler (Yale, 1971), enjoyed a 40-year teaching career at a variety of
independent schools in New York & Connecticut. Specializing in history and economics,
