Lifelong is pleased to introduce a new and intergenerational program that will bring college students and seniors together over a common interest – chess. Cornell freshman Anuhya Tadepalli along with her friend Poojita Chinmay founded the program when they were high school students in Georgia. It has been established in several senior residences in the Atlanta area.
Chess for a Cause is built around the idea that learning and playing chess is a way to keep and perhaps improve cognitive skills through the game but also through the interaction between students and seniors. Lifelong hopes to have this program up and running in the fall of 2019.
Anuhya will be doing a presentation about it on March 26 from 3 – 4:00 at Lifelong.
