Mark your calendars – Lifelong’s Annual Luncheon honoring and celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held at the Southside Community Center, January 16, 11:30 – 1:00.
Our guest speaker for the event will be Dr. Baruch J. Whitehead, associate professor of music education at Ithaca College and the founding director of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, a choir dedicated to the preservation of the Negro Spiritual. He also founded the Orff-Schulwerk certification program, a music education that views music as a basic system like language, at Ithaca College and Marshall University and is the past Director of the annual Orff Certification Training Course at Boston University.
Reserve and pay for your spot by December 21 and get the “early bird special”, $15 per person. After December 21, reserve ahead for $18 or $20 at the door.
